This is the birthplace of Sri Jagat Chandra Goswami, who was a contemporary of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu . He instituted Gaurabhandar in Akiyab, Burma (present-day Myanmar) and preached there. He served the Lakñmé-Janärdana Jarandan deity installed by Çréla Pundarika Vidyanidhi. Some say that he was a disciple of Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu, but there is no proof. His samädhi is in Koyapara village, and his disappearance festival is observed there on the dark ninth day of Kärtika month.
There is a small tin-shed temple there, where a tamala tree grows in front of the temple.
How to Go There
It is in Raujan police station of Chattogram district. Get down at section-1, Bhangapur in Raujan –Noapara route. Then take a taxi 8 kilometers to the temple.
